The movie follows Harry and his friends as they try to find and destroy the Horcruxes, the objects that contain parts of Voldemort's soul and make him immortal. Along the way, they also learn about the Deathly Hallows, three legendary items that can make the owner the master of death. The movie ends with a cliffhanger, as Voldemort obtains the Elder Wand, one of the Deathly Hallows, and prepares for the final battle.

The Seven Harrys

The movie begins with Harry leaving his home at Privet Drive for the last time, as the protection spell that his mother cast on him will expire when he turns 17. He is escorted by members of the Order of the Phoenix, who use Polyjuice Potion to create six decoys of Harry. However, they are ambushed by Death Eaters, who have been tipped off by a spy. A fierce aerial chase ensues, and several of Harry's allies are injured or killed. Harry and Hagrid manage to reach the Burrow, the home of the Weasley family, where they reunite with Ron and Hermione.

The Wedding

Harry attends the wedding of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour at the Burrow, where he meets Xenophilius Lovegood, the eccentric editor of The Quibbler magazine. He shows Harry a symbol that represents the Deathly Hallows: a circle, a line, and a triangle. He explains that they are a cloak of invisibility, a resurrection stone, and an elder wand. He also tells Harry that his daughter Luna has been kidnapped by Death Eaters.

The wedding is interrupted by an announcement from the Ministry of Magic that it has fallen to Voldemort's control and that Harry is wanted for questioning. Harry, Ron, and Hermione escape to London, where they hide in Sirius Black's old house at Grimmauld Place. There, they discover that R.A.B., the mysterious person who stole a Horcrux from Voldemort's cave, is Regulus Black, Sirius' brother. They also find out that the locket Horcrux is in the possession of Dolores Umbridge, a former Ministry official who tortured Harry in his fifth year.

The Ministry of Magic

Harry, Ron, and Hermione use Polyjuice Potion again to disguise themselves as Ministry employees and infiltrate the Ministry to steal the locket from Umbridge. They find her in a courtroom, where she is presiding over a trial of a Muggle-born witch. Harry stuns Umbridge and snatches the locket from her neck. However, they are exposed by Yaxley, a Death Eater who works at the Ministry. They fight their way out of the Ministry and apparate to a forest.

They take turns wearing the locket Horcrux, which affects their mood and makes them paranoid and irritable. Ron is especially affected by it and argues with Harry over their lack of progress and Hermione's feelings. He eventually leaves them after Harry accidentally breaks his wand.

Godric's Hollow

Harry and Hermione travel to Godric's Hollow, the village where Harry was born and where his parents were killed by Voldemort. They visit their graves and see a statue of them holding baby Harry. They also meet Bathilda Bagshot, a historian who wrote a book about Dumbledore's life. She invites them to her house, where Harry hopes to find more clues about the Horcruxes.

However, Bathilda turns out to be Nagini, Voldemort's snake and another Horcrux. She attacks Harry and Hermione while Voldemort arrives at Godric's Hollow. Harry and Hermione barely escape with their lives but lose Gryffindor's sword, which they had taken from Sirius' house to destroy the Horcruxes.

The Forest of Dean

Harry and Hermione move from place to place to avoid being tracked by Voldemort and his followers. They camp in a forest near Dean's house (Dean is one of Harry's classmates). One night, Harry sees a silver doe patronus that leads him to a frozen lake. He dives into the lake and finds Gryffindor's sword at the bottom. However, he is dragged down by the locket Horcrux, which tries to strangle him.

He is saved by Ron, who has returned after hearing Hermione's voice from the Deluminator, a device that Dumbledore left him. Ron uses the sword to destroy the locket Horcrux, which shows them a vision of Voldemort taunting them and Harry and Hermione kissing. Harry and Ron reconcile and Hermione hugs them both.

Malfoy Manor

Harry, Ron, and Hermione visit Xenophilius Lovegood again to learn more about the Deathly Hallows. He tells them the story of the three brothers who received the Hallows from Death as a reward for cheating him. He also reveals that he believes that Harry's invisibility cloak is one of the Hallows, and that Dumbledore's wand is the Elder Wand, the most powerful wand in existence. He also shows them a replica of the Resurrection Stone, which can bring back the dead.

However, Xenophilius betrays them to the Death Eaters in exchange for Luna's release. Harry, Ron, and Hermione fight their way out of his house and apparate to another forest. There, they are captured by a group of Snatchers, bounty hunters who are looking for Muggle-borns and Harry Potter. They are taken to the Malfoy Manor, where they are interrogated by Bellatrix Lestrange, a sadistic Death Eater and Voldemort's loyal follower.

Bellatrix tortures Hermione with the Cruciatus Curse, a spell that causes unbearable pain, to find out how they got the sword of Gryffindor, which she had kept in her vault at Gringotts. She also threatens to kill them with a knife. Harry and Ron are locked in a cellar with Luna, Dean, Ollivander, a wandmaker who was kidnapped by Voldemort, and Griphook, a goblin who works at Gringotts.

Harry uses a shard of a broken mirror to communicate with Aberforth Dumbledore, Albus' brother and owner of the Hog's Head pub in Hogsmeade. He sends Dobby, a house-elf who used to work for the Malfoys, to rescue them. Dobby apparates into the cellar and frees Harry and his friends. He also disarms Draco Malfoy, who had recognized Harry despite his swollen face.

Harry and Ron rush to save Hermione from Bellatrix, while Dobby takes Luna, Dean, Ollivander, and Griphook to Shell Cottage, a safe house owned by Bill Weasley. Harry manages to grab the cup Horcrux from Bellatrix's vault before they escape. However, Bellatrix throws her knife at them and hits Dobby in the chest.

Shell Cottage

Harry and his friends arrive at Shell Cottage, where they mourn for Dobby's death. Harry digs a grave for him by hand and buries him without using magic. He also places a stone on his grave with the words "Here lies Dobby, a free elf".

Harry talks to Griphook and Ollivander about breaking into Gringotts to steal another Horcrux from Bellatrix's vault. Griphook agrees to help them in exchange for the sword of Gryffindor. Ollivander tells Harry that Voldemort is looking for the Elder Wand and that he may have killed Dumbledore to get it.

Harry also has a vision of Voldemort finding out that they have stolen the cup Horcrux. He realizes that Voldemort knows that he is hunting Horcruxes and that he will protect the remaining ones more carefully. He also deduces that one of them is hidden at Hogwarts.

The Deathly Hallows

The Deathly Hallows are three magical objects that can make the owner the master of death: the Elder Wand, the most powerful wand in existence; the Resurrection Stone, which can bring back the dead; and the Cloak of Invisibility, which can hide the wearer from any danger.

The legend of the Deathly Hallows is based on a fairy tale about three brothers who cheated Death by crossing a river with magic. Death appeared to them and pretended to congratulate them. He offered them each a gift of their choice. The eldest brother asked for an unbeatable wand, so Death gave him a wand made from an elder tree. The middle brother asked for a way to bring back his dead lover, so Death gave him a stone with a crack on it. The youngest brother asked for something that would allow him to avoid Death altogether, so Death reluctantly gave him his own cloak of invisibility.

The eldest brother boasted about his wand and challenged a wizard to a duel. He won easily but was killed in his sleep by another wizard who wanted his wand. The middle brother used the stone to resurrect his lover but found out that she was not truly alive but only a sad ghost. He killed himself to join her in death. The youngest brother used the cloak to live a long and happy life and passed it on to his son. He greeted Death as an old friend and went with him willingly.

Harry learns that he is the descendant of the youngest brother and that his invisibility cloak is one of the Deathly Hallows. He also learns that Dumbledore had the Elder Wand and the Resurrection Stone, which he hid inside a snitch that he left for Harry. Harry opens the snitch and finds the stone, but decides not to use it to bring back his parents or Sirius. He realizes that the Deathly Hallows are not the answer to his quest, but a distraction. He chooses to focus on finding and destroying the Horcruxes, which are the real source of Voldemort's power.

The Horcruxes

The Horcruxes are objects that contain parts of Voldemort's soul and make him immortal. He created them by killing people and splitting his soul with dark magic. He hid them in different places and protected them with enchantments and traps. To kill Voldemort, Harry and his friends have to find and destroy all the Horcruxes.

The Locket

The locket Horcrux belonged to Salazar Slytherin, one of the founders of Hogwarts and the ancestor of Voldemort. It was stolen by Regulus Black from Voldemort's cave, where it was guarded by a lake full of Inferi, reanimated corpses. Regulus replaced it with a fake locket that had a note signed as R.A.B. The fake locket was later taken by Mundungus Fletcher, a thief and a member of the Order of the Phoenix. He sold it to Dolores Umbridge, who wore it as a symbol of her authority at the Ministry of Magic.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione stole the locket from Umbridge and tried to destroy it with various spells, but none of them worked. They realized that they needed something more powerful, like Gryffindor's sword, which can destroy anything tainted by dark magic. They found the sword in a frozen lake, where it was placed by Snape under Dumbledore's orders. Ron used the sword to stab the locket, which showed them a vision of Voldemort insulting them and Harry and Hermione kissing. The locket was destroyed and Ron rejoined Harry and Hermione.

The Cup

The cup Horcrux belonged to Helga Hufflepuff, another founder of Hogwarts. It was stolen by Voldemort from Hepzibah Smith, a wealthy collector of magical artifacts. He killed her and framed her house-elf for the crime. He hid the cup in his vault at Gringotts, the wizarding bank, where it was protected by a dragon and a curse that multiplied and burned anything that touched it.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione broke into Gringotts with the help of Griphook, who betrayed them after they got the cup. They escaped on the back of the dragon and flew away from the bank. They realized that Griphook had taken Gryffindor's sword with him, so they had to find another way to destroy the cup.

The Diadem

The diadem Horcrux belonged to Rowena Ravenclaw, another founder of Hogwarts. It was a tiara that enhanced the wearer's wisdom. It was stolen by her daughter Helena, who ran away with a man named the Bloody Baron. He killed her and then himself when she refused his love. She became the Grey Lady, the ghost of Ravenclaw house, and he became the Bloody Baron, the ghost of Slytherin house.

Voldemort found out about the diadem from the Grey Lady when he was a student at Hogwarts. He charmed her with his flattery and asked her where she hid it. She told him that it was in a forest in Albania, where he later went to retrieve it. He hid it in the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts, where he thought no one would find it.

Harry learned about the diadem from Luna Lovegood, who told him that it was Ravenclaw's lost item. He remembered seeing it in the Room of Requirement when he was hiding a book there in his sixth year. He returned to the room with Ron and Hermione and found the diadem among a pile of junk. However, they were confronted by Draco Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle, who tried to stop them. Crabbe cast a Fiendfyre spell, a cursed fire that destroyed everything in its path, including the diadem. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Malfoy escaped from the room, but Crabbe and Goyle were killed by the fire.

The Snake

The snake Horcrux was Nagini, Voldemort's pet and loyal servant. She was a venomous snake that could communicate with Voldemort through Parseltongue, the language of snakes. She also acted as his eyes and ears when he possessed her. She was always by his side and protected by a magical cage.

Harry learned that Nagini was a Horcrux from Snape's memories, which he saw in the Pensieve, a device that can store and view memories. Snape was a double agent who worked for Dumbledore and Voldemort. He killed Dumbledore on his orders and became the headmaster of Hogwarts under Voldemort's regime. He also protected Harry and his friends from the Death Eaters and sent them messages through his patronus, a silver doe.

Snape was killed by Voldemort, who thought that he was the master of the Elder Wand. Before he died, he gave Harry his memories, which revealed that he was in love with Harry's mother Lily and that he had been working for Dumbledore all along. He also told Harry that he had to die to destroy the part of Voldemort's soul that was inside him.

Nagini was killed by Neville Longbottom, one of Harry's friends and the leader of Dumbledore's Army, a student resistance group. He used Gryffindor's sword, which he pulled out of the Sorting Hat, to decapitate her. He did this while Harry was facing Voldemort in the final duel.

The Scar

The scar Horcrux was Harry himself. He became a Horcrux when he was a baby and Voldemort tried to kill him with the Killing Curse. The curse rebounded on Voldemort and destroyed his body, but not his soul. A part of his soul latched onto Harry's soul and gave him his scar, his Parseltongue ability, and his connection to Voldemort's mind.

Harry learned that he was a Horcrux from Dumbledore's portrait, which he saw in Snape's memories. Dumbledore told him that he had to die to destroy the part of Voldemort's soul that was inside him. He also told him that he had a choice: to go back to life or to move on to death.

Harry decided to sacrifice himself to Voldemort in order to save his friends and the wizarding world. He walked into the Forbidden Forest, where Voldemort was waiting for him with his Death Eaters. He dropped his wand and let Voldemort cast the Killing Curse on him. He fell to the ground, apparently dead.

It is directed by David Yates and stars Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, and Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort. The movie was released in India on July 15, 2011, in both English and Hindi versions. They also face Voldemort and his army in the final battle at Hogwarts, where they are joined by their teachers and classmates. The movie ends with an epilogue set nineteen years later, where Harry and his friends send their children to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

King's Cross Station

Harry does not die, but enters a limbo-like state where he meets Dumbledore in a white version of King's Cross Station. Dumbledore tells him that he has not died, but that the part of Voldemort's soul that was inside him has been destroyed. He also tells him that Voldemort is still alive, but that his own soul is damaged beyond repair. He explains that Harry is the master of the Elder Wand, because he disarmed Draco Malfoy, who had disarmed Dumbledore before Snape killed him. He also tells him that Harry can choose to go back to life or to move on to death.

Harry sees a small, ugly creature under a bench, which Dumbledore says is the remains of Voldemort's soul. Harry feels pity for it, but does not approach it. He decides to go back to life and face Voldemort again. He also asks Dumbledore if their conversation is real or just in his head. Dumbledore replies that it is both.

The Battle of Hogwarts

Harry returns to life and pretends to be dead. He is carried by Hagrid to the castle, where Voldemort declares his victory and demands the surrender of the remaining defenders. He also reveals that he has killed Snape and taken the Elder Wand from him. However, he is surprised when the wand does not work as he expected. He blames Harry for being its true owner and tries to kill him with the Killing Curse.

However, Harry survives and reveals that he is alive. He tells Voldemort that he is the master of the Elder Wand and that he has destroyed all his Horcruxes. He also tells him that Snape was loyal to Dumbledore and that he died for nothing. He challenges Voldemort to a final duel and tells him to feel some remorse for his crimes.

The Elder Wand

The Elder Wand is one of the Deathly Hallows and the most powerful wand in existence. It can perform feats of magic that no other wand can, such as repairing other wands or casting spells without a verbal incantation. It is also known as the Deathstick or the Wand of Destiny.

The Elder Wand has a bloody history of changing owners through murder or theft. It was first given by Death to Antioch Peverell, the eldest of the three brothers who cheated him. It was later owned by many powerful wizards, such as Gellert Grindelwald, Albus Dumbledore, and Lord Voldemort.

The Elder Wand is loyal only to the wizard who defeats its previous owner, either by killing them or disarming them. It does not work well for anyone else, and may even backfire on them. Harry became its master when he disarmed Draco Malfoy, who had disarmed Dumbledore before Snape killed him. Voldemort did not know this and killed Snape instead, thinking that he was the master of the wand.

The Final Duel

Harry and Voldemort face each other in a final duel in front of their supporters. Harry uses Expelliarmus, a spell that disarms an opponent, while Voldemort uses Avada Kedavra, the Killing Curse. The two spells collide and create a beam of light that connects their wands.

Harry tells Voldemort that he has made a mistake by using the Elder Wand, which does not belong to him. He says that the wand will never harm its true master and that it will always fail him. He also says tha
